My hair will smell of weed, sweat & beer for the next week.

That’s just what rap concerts do to you. In a roundabout random turn of events, I (the most unlikely suspect) ended up at a rap concert tonight. Somehow, an old college buddy of mine had gotten free tickets from work & invited me to tag along.

I prepared myself after work this afternoon by trying to make myself look cool. You know? I figured that’s what I should do for a rap concert. Leggings, a tunic & a belt. Gladiator sandals. Purple glitter nail polish. Big purple earrings. From that description, you’d think I was going to an 80’s party, but I swear, I looked mildly alright.

Admittedly, I was a little afraid I’d be the only white person there. Not that I have a problem with that, but it may have been a little awkward. I wasn’t, but I was the only white person in our little group that went together. I’m happy to report we joked around about it & I made a few new friends tonight, which is always terrific!

I also have to admit that I didn’t really know any of the rappers performing. They were: 2 Chains, J. Cole & Drake. Now, I’ve heard of Drake (who hasn’t?), but I still didn’t really know any of his songs, but I still danced like I did & had a really good time. Surprisingly, I think J. Cole was my favorite of the three.

Bottom line? I had a blast dancing the night away & I would definitely do it again.

I don’t need an interview unless its for professional time waster. Or creeper.

So, today was an interesting day. Well, that’s not really surprising living in my shoes, but nonetheless, strange. I drove a couple of towns over for an interview to be an intern at a photography studio.

I think the interview went well. I always do freakishly well at interviews, which is bizarre because I typically just wing it. I’m going to turn them down if I get offered the internship, though. It sounds too officy for me & like I wouldn’t learn jack shit. Figures.

I was already pretty close to the dress shop so I didn’t want to waste the gas to drive all the way back home, but I had 4 hours to kill before I had to be at work. Yea, you read that right, 4 whopping hours. I didn’t have a clue what the hell I was going to do.

I ended up at a pretty big mall, then went to a movie theater. I realized I’d never seen a movie by myself. Eh. Time to try that out today. Even though I’m not a big Zac Efron fan, I went to see The Lucky One, which actually turned out to be pretty alright. There were only 3 other creepers in the theater: a chick in daisy dukes, an Asian lady that wouldn’t stop crying & a huge bald guy. I was by far the most normal looking one there, even in my nice business attire.

I then took a slow, long walk to the mall food court to stuff my face. Whatever. I had time to kill. I wondered around for a while to take samples from all the Asian restaurants even though I had no intention of eating at any of them. Hey, now, I know you guys do that too. It doesn’t make me a bad person.

After lunch, I lurked around Nordstrom to steal their wi-fi (why the hell does a department store need wi-fi?!).

Then, due to my lack of sense of direction, I couldn’t find a bathroom, so I drove to the dress shop to use theirs. Oh well, they already know I’m craycray. They spend most days with me.

I feel so close to double vision in the saltwater room.

All too often I get asked what kind of music I listen to. I don’t know why. I don’t know if I’m just mysterious & people can’t figure me out or if I’m hard to talk to so people are just trying to make small talk. Either way, I like music. All kinds. ridiculous stuff. Stuff that I sing loud & proud in my car. Guilty pleasures that no one else knows I listen to.

Today I break free. I spill all. I’m compiling a list. I’m not breaking them up into groups or anything, they’re just all going in there, my all time favorites, my guilty pleasures, & my current favorites (that are bound to get old by next week). In no specific order:

Today is 3/03…which IS special, trust me.

In honor of today being March 3rd, I’m doing a post about one of my all time favorite bands, 3OH!3. See? Makes sense now, doesn’t it?

I got hooked on 3OH!3 a few years ago by my younger brother & there’s been no turning back since. I love their music (it kind of just makes you want to dance all the time), the lyrics & about a year and a half ago I actually got the pleasure of meeting the 2 guys that make up the band. Both Nat & Sean were super friendly, taking pics with out group & signing autographs for us (even taking the time to talk to us for a few minutes!).

Based out of Boulder, CO (actually how they got their name, 303 is the area code), they mix quirky rap-like lyrics with electronica music for blast-worth music. Don’t belive me? Check out their website here. Or download they’re latest CD, Streets of Gold on ITunes.

And now, my favsies music video: Double Vision.

Happy 3OH!3 day!

Television. Not what it used to be.

As you probably figured out in my first post, I really like stupid TV. For instance, Teen Mom 2? Totally addicting. I mean, what the heck? I don’t even like kids. But, somehow, I can’t stop watching those girls screw up more & more. I don’t know if any of you guys have ever seen that show 1000 Ways to Die, but it trips me out every single time. I go to bed wondering how I’m going to die that night. Right now, I’m watching Dance Moms & this shit is crazy! Much like Toddlers & Tiaras, its basically parents pressuring their children to do random crap they don’t want to do. There. Now you don’t even have to watch. You’re welcome.

Also, any crime show on TruTV. My husband, J-bird, hates those shows. All of them. He’s not your typical guy, though. You won’t find him yelling at sports, but instead, taking notes from HGTV on how to improve the design of the house. Or on the Food Network trying to find a new recipe.

So, what are your favorite TV shows that are ridiculous? Let me know!

I just want my pants back!

Welcome to my first post. Delicious Suspicious is going to be my dump spot for everything. So that’s all things weird that happen to me at work, things that I want, celeb gossip, photography stuff, stupid crap my husband does, & things that I want to complain about. I won’t use proper grammar, I’ll misspell everything & I’ll probably piss a few of you off. I don’t care. I hope that you find my posts vaguely entertaining, & if not, there’s a billion other blogs, go read another. I’ll try to post a few times a week, try to keep up with my soap opera-style life.

So, honestly, who else really can’t wait for I Just Want My Pants Back to come out on MTV? Seriously, I know I wasn’t the only one curled up in the fetal position crying when they took Skins off the air. That’s what this show reminds me of.

I Just Want My Pants Back

Over & Outtt.
